Why did you join Impel Talent?
“I joined Impel Talent because of a chance meeting with one of the co-founders Nathaniel, and our connection was instant. What drew me to this company was the alignment of our values. We both share a profound commitment to helping others, a strong work ethic, and a deep appreciation for human connections and the art of nurturing and maintaining relationships.”
What do you love about your role?
“My role at Impel Talent is incredibly fulfilling for several reasons. Firstly, I have the opportunity to immerse myself in various sectors and industries, including life sciences, space, and technology, both I find endlessly fascinating.
However, what truly fuels my passion for this role is the human element. Interacting with both clients and candidates is immensely rewarding. I derive great satisfaction from helping people and solving their challenges. As a result, I’ve already built strong relationships with individuals across Europe, and I’m eagerly anticipating the growth of these connections as I continue on this journey.”
How did you get into sales?
“Sales is a career path I stumbled upon at an early age, and it has since become an integral part of my life. What initially began as happenstance quickly evolved into something more profound. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills in sales, and it has become second nature to me.”
What about sales really inspires you?
“Sales, to me, is a source of inspiration on multiple fronts. Firstly, it’s the ability to assist individuals in achieving their goals, helping them overcome challenges they may have struggled with, or supporting them in realising their ambitions. This aspect of making a positive impact on people’s lives is immensely motivating. Secondly, the thrill of sales comes from the dopamine rush of closing deals, gaining new clients, or achieving personal goals. It’s an exhilarating feeling that keeps me driven and enthusiastic about what I do.”
What is your top tip for hiring managers who are struggling to grow their team?
“For hiring managers facing challenges in expanding their teams, my top tip would be to prioritise not just skills and qualifications but also cultural fit. While technical expertise is undoubtedly crucial, a cohesive team that shares values and works well together can achieve far greater success. Therefore, during the hiring process, seek candidates who not only possess the necessary skills but also align with the company’s culture and values. This ensures a harmonious and productive work environment.”
What is one piece of advice you wish you could tell yourself 10 years ago?
“Buy Bitcoin.”
What do you do to relax and unwind outside of work?
“Outside of work, I have a well-rounded approach to relaxation and leisure. I find solace in activities such as golfing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which not only help me stay physically active but also provide mental clarity. Additionally, I am an avid gym-goer, maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.”
When it’s time to unwind, I enjoy cooking as a creative outlet. I also find relaxation in the pages of a delightful book and cherish moments spent with friends and family, as these connections are vital for my well-being.
