We are seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to drive the land acquisition process for solar parks, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and, when required, collection stations and USW projects. This role involves leading negotiations with landowners and authorities, managing the Land Acquisition team, and serving as the primary point of contact throughout various project phases.
The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of the solar project lifecycle, and experience managing land acquisition in Germany. The role requires frequent travel within designated regions and close collaboration with internal stakeholders across project development, planning, legal, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:Proactively initiate and lead land acquisition discussions with stakeholders.
- Advise potential partners on the feasibility and benefits of developing solar farms on their land.
- Negotiate and finalize lease and usage agreements with landowners.
- Manage and oversee the Land Acquisition team, ensuring smooth operations and goal achievement.
- Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with landowners, farming cooperatives, and business partners.
- Organize and conduct informational events in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Work closely with project planning and development teams to facilitate seamless execution.
- Provide regular reporting to management and relevant departments.
- Undertake frequent travel within Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
- Ensure effective data management within the company’s data repository.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including construction, planning, project development, project finance, and legal.
- Support project financing closure and manage the registration of easements.

- 7-10 years of experience with a proven track record in land acquisition for solar/BESS projects in Germany.
- Strong understanding of the solar project lifecycle and the agricultural sector.
- Background in real estate law and legal assessment of land lease and USW agreements.
- Experience in personnel management within land acquisition teams.
- Proficiency in GBA assessment and commercial training or a relevant degree.
- Prior experience or connections in farmers’ associations or agricultural backgrounds are a plus.
