The Client
Reckitt is a British based company of over 30k people that has multiple brands that fall into three categories: Hygiene, Health and Nutrition. Each is in a unique position to make a difference in the world. Together, they protect, heal and nurture individuals, families and communities, to live cleaner and healthier lives through their products and educational initiatives.
The Challenge
In response to the pandemic Reckitt was looking to build a new division across some of their UK and US sites which was made up of multiple technical and scientific positions of varying levels. The company didn’t have a trusted partner for technical recruitment and had struggled to find the candidates they needed directly. With urgency and impending deadlines they reached out to Impel.
Reckitt required that staff relocate for these positions and would not support relocation for European candidates post brexit, vastly reducing the candidate pool available. The Pandemic also provided challenges with local UK candidates preferring to work remotely and voicing concerns around relocating.
The Conclusion
After reviews with Hiring Managers and the internal recruitment team, we built a process that suited all parties and enabled us to prioritise our workload. We were able the find multiple candidates across varied disciplines that enabled the client to start building this new business unit. This was due to excellent communication from both the Hiring Managers and internal recruitment team to build an efficient process.
