The final deployed cookie banner must block non-essential technologies until the appropriate choice is made and must reflect the technologies actually found on the live website.

01

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is used. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts, software development kits and other methods that store information on, or access information from, a browser or device.

These technologies can be used to keep a website secure, remember choices, enable embedded content and understand how a website is used. This policy should be read with our Privacy Policy.

02

How we categorise technologies

Always active

Strictly necessary

Required for core functions requested by the user, security, fraud and spam prevention, network management and remembering privacy choices. Disabling these may prevent parts of the website from working.

Optional

Analytics and performance

Help us understand visits, page use and website performance. Impel Talent treats these technologies as optional and will not activate them until the relevant choice has been made through the consent controls.

Optional

Functional and media

Enable features such as embedded videos, podcast players, scheduling tools and enhanced experiences. Some providers may set their own identifiers when the feature is loaded.

Not enabled by default

Advertising and personalisation

Used for advertising, remarketing or cross-site personalisation. These will not be used unless they are clearly listed in the live cookie settings and the required consent has been obtained.

03

Consent and cookie controls

Strictly necessary technologies may operate without optional consent where the legal exemption applies. Optional analytics, media, functional or advertising technologies will be controlled through the website's consent mechanism.

Visitors should be able to:

  • accept or reject non-essential technologies;
  • choose categories rather than being required to accept everything;
  • change or withdraw a choice through a persistent cookie-settings control; and
  • use the website's essential content even when optional technologies are declined.

On the live website, use the cookie banner or the persistent “Cookie settings” control in the footer to review or change your choices. Withdrawing consent will not affect processing that was lawful before the choice was changed.

04

Website technology register

The technologies below may be used where the relevant feature is enabled. The live consent-management panel should provide the definitive current names and durations detected on the deployed website.

Service or technology Category Purpose Typical identifiers and duration
Consent-management preference Strictly necessary Records whether categories were accepted or rejected and avoids repeatedly asking for the same choice. The exact cookie name depends on the selected consent platform. Typically retained for 6 to 13 months.
Google reCAPTCHA or equivalent form-security service Strictly necessary security, where used Protects forms and systems from automated spam, abuse and fraudulent submissions. Google may use _GRECAPTCHA and related technical signals. Duration is controlled by the provider and implementation.
Google Analytics 4 Analytics, optional Measures website visits, sessions, interactions and aggregate performance so we can improve the website. _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google's default expiry is 2 years and can be configured.
YouTube embedded video Functional and media, optional Plays videos embedded on Impel Talent pages. Privacy-enhanced embedding and click-to-load controls may be used. Provider cookies or local-storage identifiers may be set when the player is loaded or used. Duration varies.
Buzzsprout podcast player Functional and media, optional Loads and plays podcast episodes and may provide aggregate player analytics. Provider-controlled session or persistent technologies may be used when the player loads.
Calendly or another scheduling tool Functional, optional Allows visitors to view availability and request or arrange meetings. Provider-controlled session and persistent technologies may be used within the embedded scheduler.
Impel Connect External platform Links visitors to the separate Impel Connect platform. Its own privacy and cookie information applies after navigation. The main website does not need to set an Impel Connect cookie merely because it links to the platform.

Technologies can change when a provider updates its service or when Impel Talent changes its website configuration. We will update the register and consent controls where required.

05

Third-party services and embedded content

Some pages may include content or tools supplied by third parties. When activated, these providers may receive information such as IP address, device and browser details, the page visited and interaction with the feature. Depending on the service, the provider may act as our processor or as an independent controller under its own terms.

Where practical, optional embeds should be blocked until the relevant consent is given, loaded only after a visitor clicks to use the feature, or configured using a privacy-enhanced option.

06

Browser and device controls

Most browsers allow cookies to be viewed, deleted or blocked. Blocking all cookies can affect essential website functions and does not necessarily prevent every similar technology. Browser controls operate separately from the consent choices offered by this website.

Deleting cookies may remove a saved consent preference, so the website may ask for a new choice on the next visit.

07

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when technologies, providers, consent requirements or the website change. Questions about cookies or privacy can be sent to info@impeltalent.com.
